Meet  the  Teacher

My name is Karon Armstrong. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I’m happily married and blessed with four wonderful children and one grandson. I hold an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Gaston College and a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education from St. Andrews University. I’m excited to be entering my fifteenth year in the field of education and my fifth year at Sugar Ridge. This year marks my third year teaching second grade, and I couldn't be more excited to have your child on my team for 2026-2027 school year. My favorite colors are purple and pink, and in my spare time, I enjoy shopping and, most of all, spending quality time with my family. My favorite candy is Lindt Lindor milk chocolate caramel stick  and my go to store is Targets. My favorite drink is Minute Maid Fruit Punch. Zaxby’s is my favorite place to grab a meal.
