I am so excited to be your teacher for the upcoming school year! My name is Mrs. Applequist, and I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. I earned my Bachelor's in Education from UNC Chapel Hill, and returned to obtain my Master of Arts in Teaching. I am truly a Tarheel born and bred!

This year is my fourth year teaching. I have so much to share with you! I am married to my high school sweetheart, Drew.  We recently welcomed our sweet baby boy, Malachi, into the world! I also have a two year old dog named Franklin. My favorite things to do are cheering on the Tarheels, spending time with my family (and dog), and going to coffee shops!

I am so thankful to be a part of the Willow Springs Elementary family. I can't wait to meet you and your family!
