About Me

Hello Sixth Graders!!

My name is Mrs. Alston and I am excited about teaching math at King George Elementary School. Let me begin with a little bit of background of who I am. I graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor's in Business Management in 2000. However, I decided to return to school to pursue my passion of educating others. So I completed my Master's in Elementary Education from University of Phoenix in 2012 and have been teaching ever since.

My teaching philosophy is that each student is deserving of a learning environment that is caring and motivating. I strive to reach students where they are in learning and help them reach THEIR highest potential. I know that with effort from all involved, success can be reached.
