James “JJ” Strawhorn Memorial Scholarship

Riley Construction evolved into Magnum Metals in 2003, after 18 years of providing excellent residential and commercial construction services. Experience with Riley Construction helped to pave the way for Magnum Metals by giving Tim Riley a 360-degree view of construction, inside and out. Magnum Metals is a family owned and operated business, by Nettleton natives Tim and Alex Riley. In the formation of Magnum Metals, Tim found his passion and honed his expertise in metal services under the framework of his previous construction experience and knowledge. A major supplier in the roofing and commercial pre-engineered building sector, the future looks

bright for Magnum Metals. We are pleased to invite graduating seniors to apply for a $1000.00 scholarship. This scholarship will benefit any senior that will be seeking a

career in the construction/skilled trade field.

ELIGIBILITY

•  Applicant must be a senior graduating from Nettleton High School 

• Applicant must desire a career in a construction/skilled trade field

•  Application must be turned in by April 5, 2024, to your high school counselor.

HOW TO APPLY

 Fill out and submit the application (copies provided by Mrs. Alef) along with a short essay stating your reason for pursuing a career in the construction/skilled trade field and how you have prepared yourself to be successful in that career. Describe your character to include: strengths, weaknesses, achievements and work ethics.
