Hi everyone! My name is Mrs. Kolasensky. I joined Salisbury in 2013 as a long-term substitute in first grade, but have been teaching kindergarten since the 2015-2016 school year.
I believe in engaging students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning. I also believe in setting high expectations because my kindergarteners have taught me year after year that they will rise to the occasion! I enjoy teaching all content areas, but have a particular passion for S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math) education.
Outside of school, I am working on my Master's of Education from Wilkes University. My husband and I have an 9 year old husky mix who we enjoy walking and running with. I also love crafting, baking, and reading a good book on the hammock during summer!
