- ***Art Journal/Sketchbook*** SEE NEXT SLIDE (or paper to make one)
- 3 rolls of 1"wide Masking Tape
- 8oz tube (or four 2oz tubes) of WHITE Acrylic Paint
- 1qt plastic container & lid (for clay project)
- #2 wood pencils (NOT mechanical)
- Eraser (hand-held white/pink/kneaded). An eraser that is NOT ATTACHED to your pencil would be great! You'll be using your eraser a lot!
- Pencil Sharpener (handheld is best for your Color Pencils)
- Egg carton (empty-styrofoam/cardboard/plastic - dozen or 18 eggs)

If you already have a sketchbook from a previous year, please use that sketchbook; do not purchase a new one unless you'd like one. I'll demonstrate how to "flip it upside down" to use for this year 😉

Sketchbooks
We will begin using our sketchbooks the second week of class. Walmart has the best price ($9); if you purchase at another store, use a coupon...The same sketchbook is priced at $13+ at other stores.
I prefer the Grumbacher MIX MEDIA 9"x12" (60 sheets/98# paper) Barcode: 14173 42957 sketchbook because:
REMOVABLE PAGES - Each page can be removed and then reinserted into the sketchbook
MIX MEDIA PAPER- We can use acrylic and watercolor paint, graphite, color pencil, marker, and other mediums without bleeding through the backside of the paper
9”x12” SIZE- Handouts can be taped to the inside pages (and not misplaced)
COVER- Stiff board construction that allows easy application and better adhesion of art paper
VALUE- The most sheets for your dollar (compared to other mix-media sketchbooks)
