Susanna Hopman

Greetings!

My name is Mrs. Susanna Hopman and I feel extremely blessed to be at St. Patrick's this upcoming school year! I graduated from Concordia University Chicago in 2007 with a degree in Elementary Education. I took my first call to Zion Lutheran School in Beecher, IL where I served from 2007-2019. I taught a combination of first and second grade while serving there.

My husband and I met at Concordia and have been married since 2009. We have been blessed with two children, Melvin in 2014 and Margaret in 2017. I am thankful to God each day for the many blessings he has bestowed upon me through my children and husband. I enjoy greatly spending time with them and find joy in watching them grow in the love of Jesus.

We have just recently relocated from the Chicagoland area. God has called my husband and I to these new opportunities and we have enjoyed being closer to family that live in the area. It has been fun exploring the Central Illinois area this summer. We look forward to becoming more familiar with the area and building relationships along the way.

In my spare time I love to travel and be outside as much as possible. This summer my family and I had the awesome opportunity to visit the Ark Encounter in Kentucky. If you have the chance it is a wonderful faith building experience for the whole family!

I pray, and in turn also ask for your prayers, that God continues to help our faithful school community flourish and teach our children that through Christ anything is possible!
