Mark and I have been married for 25 years.  We have two smart, beautiful daughters: Rebekah and Evelyn.  The oldest, Rebekah, is beginning college as a chemistry major at Dalton State.  Our youngest, Evelyn, is a junior at Unity Christian School.  We have two dogs, Duke and Ivy, that have taken over our home causing us endless trouble AND joy!

My mother taught Special Education for over 30 years and set an amazing example for me to follow.  She has shown me how to see the potential in every student and to be patient and flexible when working in education.  She is a lifelong learner who did not give up on her students even when others did.  I pray I can do half as good a job!

First of all, I like to read and learn new things.  I love to hike and be out in nature.  Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, whether it is deep conversation or a  lot of jokes, playing a board game or watching a movie.  Some of my favorite things are: San Pellegrino sparkling water, dark chocolate, morning coffee and evening tea.

I am absolutely passionate about my job as an educator! I love kids and I have fun spending time with them!  I am in my happy place when I am teaching and helping children overcome challenges.  Solving problems and working with a team fills my heart, so I am thrilled to be a part of the tribe at Armuchee Elementary!
