About Mrs. Fortier
I grew up in an orchard in Orondo, WA. I went to school in Orondo for elementary and then up to Waterville for Jr. High and High school. I loved to play sports, singing , playing music and hanging out with friends. I graduated from Central Washington University with my bachelors degree in education and then went on to Lesley University for my masters degree. I taught in Orondo for part of a year teaching 5th-7th grade math and PE as a leave replacement, then in Wenatchee for a year teaching bilingual kindergarten for another leave replacement. I then moved on to Quincy where I taught 3rd grade for 8 years. Finally, I moved to Lewis and Clark in Wenatchee and have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades before moving to HiCap in 2020.
In my personal time, I love to go on adventures in the mountains with family and friends and my doggy sidekick Luna. She loves being outside even if it is just in the backyard. I love playing my guitar and baking yummy treats for my husband Kevin and the people at his work. Kevin and I love to go to the movies and go out to dinner as often as we can.
