I grew up in an orchard in Orondo, WA with an amazingly loving and hardworking set of parents. I went to school in Orondo for elementary and then up to Waterville for Jr. High and High school. I attended Running Start at Wenatchee Valley College. I graduated from Central Washington University with my bachelors degree in education and then went on to Lesley University for my masters degree. I taught in Orondo for part of a year teaching 5th-7th grade math and PE as a leave replacement, then in Wenatchee for the remainder of the year teaching bilingual kindergarten half-time. I then moved on to Quincy where I taught 3rd grade for 8 years. Finally, I moved to Lewis and Clark Elementary in Wenatchee and taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades before moving to HiCap in 2020.
My husband Kevin and our cat Havoc moved up from Houston in 2020. Kevin loves to watch movies and I love to see how excited he gets talking about them. It took a while for Havoc and Luna to figure out how to be siblings, but now they play together and they will even cuddle together when they aren't driving each other crazy. My sister-in-law, Carmen, and her dog Tony moved in with us in 2024. Let me tell you, Carmen keeps us on our toes! She does a great job of making sure we don't miss any appointments, the animals never go without treats, and now I never run out of yogurt for breakfast.
In my personal time, I love to go on adventures in the mountains with family and friends and my doggy sidekick Luna. She loves being outside even if it is just in the backyard. I enjoy playing sports, singing, listening to music, crafting and hanging out with friends. I love playing my guitar and baking yummy treats for my husband Kevin and the people at his work. Kevin and I still love to go to the movies and go out to dinner as often as we can.
