Note to Parents

Please refrain from teaching your child standard algorithms for math, as we are trying to teach them critical thinking and problem solving skills. We do eventually teach them the algorithm but not until they have had some time to really think about and struggle through the specific mathematical process. I know this can be frustrating for you and your student as they might feel like they do not understand. However, this math curriculum is evidence based in that is really teaches kiddos to dig deep, build grit, and learn how to solve any mathematical problems without any prior knowledge.
