Meet Mrs. Exaros

Hello! My name is Mrs. Exaros and I am SO EXCITED to be your 4th grade teacher!!! This is my 16th year of teaching, and my 12th year of teaching 4th grade at Shoemaker. I absolutely LOVE our Shoemaker family and would not want to be teaching anywhere else! A few things about me...I am a HUGE Penn State fan! I love cheering for the Nittany Lions during football season, and Happy Valley is one of my favorite places in the world (along with the beach)! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (also a Minor in Dance) from Penn State in 2008. I then received my Master's Degree in Informational Technology from Wilkes University in 2014. I live at home with my husband, Mr. Exaros, my daughter Ellie (8), my son Jackson (5), and my snuggly puppy, Zoey. A few of my favorite hobbies are working out, cooking, reading, watching movies, and dancing! A few of my other favorite things include coffee, cheese, coffee, dark chocolate covered pretzels, coffee, post-it notes, coffee, Hobby Lobby, Italian food, the color PINK, and hanging out at home with my family. Finally, my favorite thing about school is YOU! I love watching you grow from September to June, I love hearing about the things you love and do, and most of all, I love how 4th graders make me laugh! I cannot wait to spend this year getting to know you, and sharing this incredible learning journey with you!!!
