During this week students will either complete their unit on proportionality by completing project 9.10 or will learn about cross-sections. If your child is still learning about proportions, see the lesson plans between March 18-April 1. If they are learning about cross-sections, take a look to the right.

Students will understand proportional reasoning by completing ratio tables, determining k (constant of proportionality), graphing the data, and creating an equation to show that it is proportional.

We learned how to add and subtract rational numbers. Now let's learn how to multiply and divide them! Below you will see the learning progression for multiplying and dividing rational numbers. Remember, the goal is to get to proficient, but that is up to you! In order to do that, you have to work hard. You will have a quiz on this before Christmas break!

When students have completed the four colored levels, they will begin working on positive and negative fractions and decimals. At the end of the month, we will have a test on adding and subtracting integers. How much you learn, is up to you! There will be required work, but you can work ahead if you'd like to learn as much as possible.

We will be starting a new learning progression (Topic 2 in Google Classroom). We will work on this for about a week. Students "quiz" will be their 2.7 assignment. In class we will also work on number line activities and hopefully start using the iReady "My Path" tool. More to come about that.

Students start at a colored level depending on their pre-test score. They will work through a level, completing all assignments. When they are done, they move to the next colored level.
✨✨✨Students should complete at least two levels before the quiz. This means that there should be TWO #7 assignments completed by the quiz date.✨✨✨
✨iReady includes a Diagnostic Test. We are taking this test in class the week of September 14-18.✨
