Brook Glenn Elementary school is kicking off their Buddy-A-Thon Fundraiser!! Yellow flyers were sent home today in students' bags to explain all details.
In order to participate, parents must use the QR code on the flyer to register TONIGHT! Send 10 emails to friends and family inviting them to donate to start earning prizes. The more emails you send, the more money you can raise to earn bigger prizes!
You will earn:
For 10 emails sent: 6 Cool Rewards such as Coop Squad Key Chain, Socks, Stickers, and so much more!
For 20 emails sent: 6 Cool Rewards PLUS the Golden Coop!!
Here are just a few examples of what you can earn when people receive an email from you and donate!
For $50 raised from donations: Earn a stuff'd pal and go to the stuffing party at school!! Pick your Stuff'd pal and watch them come to life!
For $100 raised from donations: Earn a Stuff'd Pal AND a T-Shirt!
For $450 raised from donations: Earn a Coop Squad Glow-in-the-Dark blanket!
For $3000 raised from donations: Earn a PS5!!

Our class will have a Valentines' Party on this Friday 2/13/26. Students can decorate shoeboxes/paper bags at home and bring them in to store their Valentines cards from classmates if desired. Note for this video: Please note that the example "painted" and "hunted" do not double the consonant after the vowel because there is already a second consonant before the suffix "ed" that "protects" the short vowel sound. When to double? Only double the consonant if the vowel sound would change.
Double:
hop ------> hopping (needs a double, otherwise the word would be hoping)
cut ------> cutting
No double
jump -------> jumping (the second consonant "p" keeps the vowel sound the same)
hunt --------> hunting
