Get to Know Mrs. Appleton

Let's start with why I love my job: I believe that high school is one of the best, most important times in one's life, and I'm a big fan of high school students. I also believe words have the power to change the world, and that's why I chose to teach Language Arts. Finally, why am I here? Well, I am fortunate enough to be an Arapahoe Warrior myself and am thrilled to be back at my alma mater, this time on the "other side" of the classroom.

When I'm not teaching, you can usually find me hanging out with my awesome husband (also a teacher) and my spunky, precious daughters Emersyn (6) and Lynden (3). As a fam, we love anything that involves the mountains, especially hiking, skiing, and fly fishing. During the summer and on some weekends, you can find me behind the lens of my camera or watching some sort of HGTV show, and this past summer, we welcomed a brand new puppy, Teddy, to our family. Whether it's in the States, or around the world, I LOVE to travel.

I cannot wait to get to know each of you. Welcome to my class!
