That said, you likely noticed that the PowerSchool parent/student portal has been restricted for a few weeks as we finalize grades and reports for term 1. If you are concerned about anything posted there, please discuss with your child and then contact me as swiftly as possible if there are lingering concerns

MATH

We have moved into Unit 4 - Units 1-3 will be included on the term one report.
Attendance at Tuesday lunchtime extra help has been VERY low... if you are struggling, that should be a weekly commitment.
Routine assigned homework will resume this week (tonight) now that we have concluded the cumulative review and term one assessment.
Homework for tonight: pg.160-161, #12-17 (time was given to start this in class after a short assignment based on Monday's class. I will be checking for completion tomorrow in class - come with evidence of what you have done and with questions if you have any at this point. As always, time is dedicated to clarification and further explanation/modelling of problems at the beginning of every class)

SCIENCE

We have moved into Unit 2 - Electricity - Unit 1 (Chemistry) will be included on the term one report.

All outstanding work must be turned in by 9pm tonight. See Google Classroom for postings of all assigned work. Items assigned on this platform must be turned in via the work space (please do not 'share' files to me or send files to me as email attachments... I will not receive them that way). Complete the required task and click Turn In ... If it is not Turned In this way, it is equivalent to dropping your paper assignment in the bottom of your locker or on the floor of the bus and expecting me to grade it.
At times, a video link will be posted in the Classroom Stream - unless there is an attached assignment file with a due date, nothing needs to be done with those... they are only for your convenience.

MATH

Upcoming Test... Moved one last time to Friday: Cumulative Assessment (this will feature not only some problems as we've been working with over the last few weeks, but also all outcomes addressed to date - see chapters 1-3 from our textbook and all tests/ICAs to date)
Tomorrow we'll be working through the rest of the cumulative review material found after chapter 3 in the textbook as well as any other questions from the end of chapters 1-3 which have not yet been assigned

SCIENCE

Chemistry test was today (Tuesday). Students, please see me as soon as possible to discuss a time to write if you missed it.
