Civics Remote Learning Materials
Dear Students and Families,
Dear Students and Families,
I hope that you all are well. As we begin remote learning in Civics, I want to explain how I hope this will work over the coming weeks.

Firstly, I want to make clear that we are all in difficult circumstances right now. This will be taken into account for every aspect of what we do in the rest of this course. My goal is to offer students the opportunity to sharpen their understanding of how politics shapes our lives individually and collectively, but now with a special emphasis on the political impacts and consequences of the pandemic.

To do this, students will complete assignments posted to this page. Each week, I'll update the assignments and provide due dates.

Think of the due dates as suggestions. If students can't complete the assignment for the due date, that's not a problem- we all have to be flexible at this time. The work is required in order to pass the course, but if students need extra time and help, they shouldn't hesitate to ask me.

To submit the assignments, students should submit their completed assignments using their Civics folders in Google Drive. If student assignments are submitted after the suggested due date, students should email me once they submit the assignment.

Every educator has "office hours" during this time. Due to my child care schedule, I am not available during the History and Social Science office hours from 1-3 on Wednesdays. However, I plan on responding to emails between 4-6 Monday through Thursday each week. Students or parents should feel free to email me at any time.
