There is no work assigned for Technology Classes over our extended break, but I miss being with students. I would love for them to continue checking in with me through How are You Today?
About Mr. Kuhn
I earned my B.A. in elementary education with a concentration in English from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio and a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with a Focus in Literacy Education from the University of Missouri. In my years of teaching experience I have taught English, Math, Social Studies and Computer Science. All of my experience has been in classrooms grades 5-8.
Since 2012 I have taught middle school technology courses covering keyboard skills, internet safety and expectations, G Suite, basic coding skills, and game design thinking. I am a Google Certified Educator, Level 2 and continue to learn, connecting with innovative educators through conferences, Twitter and blogs. I am a problem-solver who enjoys analyzing problems, choosing the best tools or strategies for, and seeing my efforts through, to the solution. I am a team-player who enjoys helping other teachers as much as I do helping students.
My family has lived in Tipp since 2017. My wife Rachel is the lead pastor at Tipp City Church of the Nazarene, and I coach the Tippecanoe Middle School Football team. Our oldest son, Ryan (18) attends Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Joel (16) and Miles (14) attend Tipp Schools, while our daughter Hattie Jo (6) is in Kindergarten at Nevin Coppock.
My interests outside of teaching and technology include lifting weights, playing church softball, and watching sports. In the past, I’ve run a couple marathons and a handful of half marathons, but I have spent more time lifting weights recently. I also enjoy reading.
