Journal Article Project - Share on Mar 5th
Part 1 - Finding an article using a database
Open Questionnaire (#1) and preview the questions, it is suggested to keep a separate doc to organize and jot down your thoughts
Visit a peer-reviewed scientific publication database such as PLOS One, or Google Scholar (watch out for paywalls)
Begin a search for an article of your interest (doesn't have to be traditionally science based, so long as the research is done scientifically)
Be sure to...
write down you search prompt (in case you need to revisit your previous search history)
save the article (usually offered in pdf format)
find and copy the citation [similar to what you would write for a bibliography] (dropdown arrow next to 'download pdf' in PLOS One)
Part 2 - Post reading and Pre-share
Open Questionnaire (#2) and preview the questions
Submit your journal article in .pdf format (Dropbox submission link) [this is the "upload pdf" item in the assignment metrics tracking sheet]
Prepare to lead a discussion with a small group of classmates
