Mohammad Riad Uddin

Here is my CV

I am a Research Analyst in the Markets, Trade, and Institutions Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), where I design and evaluate Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs), develop survey instruments, and conduct rigorous data analysis to generate policy-relevant insights. My research sits at the intersection of behavioral economics, agricultural development, and environmental resilience, with a strong focus on how households make economic decisions under risk and uncertainty.

Over the past several years, I have collaborated with leading institutions such as the World Bank, Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), and East West University. Through these roles, I have contributed to studies on agricultural finance innovations, gender dynamics in decision-making, and strategies to strengthen value chains for rural development.

I have contributed to a range of research projects and publications that explore how economies grow, how households adapt to challenges, and how innovative financial tools can support rural communities. My work spans topics such as regional development, household resilience during COVID-19, and access to finance for smallholder farmers. I have also been part of large project evaluations and policy-focused studies that aim to inform practical solutions, including work on livestock financing and rural development programs in Bangladesh.

Currently, I am engaged in research that explores innovative financing solutions such as profit-sharing and digital payments to expand access to credit, improve household resilience, and reduce barriers to technology adoption in agriculture. Through this work, I aim to bridge rigorous empirical research with practical solutions that address pressing socio-economic and environmental challenges in Bangladesh and beyond.
