Hello, welcome to 6th Grade at CIMS. My name is John Hutchins aka Mr. Hutch aka Coach Hutch. I come from a diverse background which includes coaching, teaching, business and the workforce. As a husband, father of 5 and a grandfather of four, I enjoy and appreciate family. Outside of school, I enjoy sports, collecting, music, four wheeling in my jeep throughout the Colorado mountains, and traveling to new places with my lovely wife Mrs. Hutchins. I have been teaching for 19 years and I am truly excited about another new year in 6th grade at CIMS. My BS degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Business Administration has helped to build a management foundation that I incorporate into the classroom whenever possible. This along with my BA in History with a minor in Education, and a Masters in Early American History from CSU-Pueblo provide a well rounded balance which allows for my teaching to create passionate, well informed, learners who make connections to yesterday, today and tomorrow.
