This is my 14th year teaching, and my 3rd year at La Joya! I am excited to have the opportunity to teach science. This website contains information about the class that you may find useful, as well as information on how to contact me.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time!
I have been married to my wonderful wife Christina (also a teacher) since 2013. I enjoy watching movies, reading, playing board games, photography, computer games, and studying science. I am (almost) an Arizona native, having lived here since age 5. I enjoy Pizza (it’s my favorite food), and love to cook.
In 2018, I earned my National Board Certification, and renewed in 2022. National Board Certification is the highest professional certificate that a teacher in the United States can earn. This certification allows me to grow my teaching practice and improve the way I reach each of the students in my classroom. I also work with the Arizona K12 center to coach new NBCT candidates both within the Tolleson Union High School District and throughout Arizona.
I am also a Doctoral Candidate, persuing my Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership.
I hope to have a wonderful year of teaching, learning, and growing with you and your child. I am always available to help, so please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time.
