Hello, this is our class website. I will be using this to help provide helpful resources and links for learning. Please have a look around at last year's work. We have a link to our podcast below and a "Mystery Skype" that we do with another 5th grade class.

I hope to do more video editing with green screens that showcase your child's learning this year.

My Class Goals

My main goal for this class is to provide students with the highest quality education and to prepare my students for the future. I would like to start the year by reinforcing comprehension and strengthen my writing curriculum. These skills will transfer over into other areas of study.

The second goal will be to provide a culture within the classroom that fosters the student’s self-worth. This will be done with social-emotional, physical and educational activities throughout the year.

The third goal will be to have students begin to document their learning and reflect upon their thinking by using web 2.0 tools. This will help them in becoming self-regulating and self-directed learners.
