Karlie and I in Kenai Fjords National Park in Seward, Alaska. June 2025.
My name is Adam Else and I am more than thrilled to be teaching 3rd Grade for the 2025-2026 school year. This will be my sixth year teaching! I was born and raised right here in Brandon and I graduated from Brandon Valley High School. I graduated in the spring of 2020 from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading. I received my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Sioux Falls in 2024. I have taught both 2nd and 3rd grade in previous years.
I enjoy hiking, snow skiing, fishing, hunting, bird watching, and playing guitar. I am also an avid sports fan and follow the Denver Broncos (NFL), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Denver Nuggets (NBA), and Iowa State (NCAA). My wife Karlie and I love to be outside any opportunity we have and especially love to kayak and ski together. Karlie is a 2nd Grade Teacher, so we both enjoy traveling during our summer break!
This past summer, we brought home a black lab pup named Landee. She has been such a great change-up to our lives and she is spoiled absolutely rotten!
I am passionate about teaching reading, helping students crack the code to understanding our written language, and showing students their constant growth through goal setting and achievement.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at Adam.Else@k12.sd.us
