Classroom Management

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT POLICY

Students are expected to follow all classroom and school rules at all times. During the first week, we will play games and work in groups to learn our 5 MOST IMPORTANT class rules.

Rule #1: Follow directions quickly

Rule #2: Raise your hand for permission to speak

Rule #3: Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat

Rule #4: Make smart choices

Rule #5: Keep your dear teacher happy

These rules will be reinforced throughout the year.

In third grade, we use the “Walking Committee” for student management and behavior. Every morning a student walks in with a clean slate and a new opportunity to make good choices. When a student makes a poor choice, they will be asked to write their name on the board with a 3 next to it. Consequences and amount of laps for every offense following the first will be left up to the discretion of the teacher.
