I grew up in Castro Valley, California.
I attended college at San Jose State University, where I got my BA in History. I then attended Cal State University East Bay for my teaching credential in social studies, completing the program during the 2020-21 school year.
This is my sixth year teaching eighth, and second year teaching seventh grade social studies here at Canyon Middle School! In the past I've worked with Mr. Hendee and the marching band at Castro Valley Highschool. I've loved my experience as an educator so far and look forward to continuing to further my abilities!

I strive to learn something new every day, whether it be a random fact or something history related. I hope to bring this passion for learning to the classroom to motivate students to study social studies the same way I was by my wonderful history teachers growing up.
I spend much of my free time hiking, finding new music, playing video games, card games, and board games, watching Survivor with my wife and our pets, and reading.
I look forward to working with and getting to know you over the coming school year!
