Greetings to all of you!
James Watson, a molecular biologist, famously remarked that "Teaching is a profession that spawns all other professions." In fact, teaching is a process that alters the teacher's perspective on the world in addition to helping the pupils improve. In my early undergraduate years, this motivated me to pursue a career in teaching, and happily I was given the chance to work for this esteemed institution.
I've always found zoology to be the most intriguing of all the scientific disciplines. Studying animals, observing how they interact, and comprehending their environment makes me more and more entertaining and enjoyable. But my true passion for zoology only emerged when I was inspired by the knowledge of stalwarts like Dr. B. B. Sharma, Dr. B. P. Hardikar and Dr. N. S. Kulkarni. The guidance provided by these people has provided me with countless opportunities to improve not just my teaching abilities but also to instil the research ethos of this field.
I am now pursuing a PhD in Zoology under the direction of Dr. B. B. Sharma, working as an assistant professor in the department of zoology, and assisting UG and PG students with their research projects. Additionally, I publish essays in science journals to make zoology more accessible to the general public. As a teacher, I firmly think that value-based education contributes significantly to the growth of a country, and I work hard to instil this belief in my pupils.
Best Wishes,
Mr. Akshay D. Bagwe
