Spring 2022
Although I'm a Virginian at heart I was born and raised in Western New York in a small town named Gorham located about 40 miles south of Rochester in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Upon completing my Bachelors degree from SUNY Geneseo and various graduate courses from Rochester Institute of Technology I moved to Richmond and began my sales career.
After a year working in the business equipment industry selling business machines I obtained a sales position with a wholesale foodservice distributor. My new position took me to Wilmington, Delaware where I met my wife Terri, currently a high school librarian. A promotion took us to Northern Virginia where we spent about ten years before relocating to our present location in Northern Hanover County.
I began a "Career Switcher" program through the University of Virginia and began teaching in 2004. During my teaching career I have become a MOS and MCAS master instructor in Office 2003, 2007 2010, and 2013. In 2010 I completed my requirements and have earned the Microsoft Certified Trainer certification which I have maintained since..
I have taught Business Law, Computer Information Systems , Advanced Computer Information Systems (Dual-Enrolled), Principles of Business and Marketing, Marketing, Economics and Personal Finance, Computer Network Software Operations, Entrepreneurship, and Programming. I also run the Technology Assistance Center at both the Middle and High Schools. I look forward to an enjoyable and rewarding school year... I hope you do too!
