Hello Students!
My name is Mr. Oliver and I grew up in Portland, Oregon. In December 2021, I relocated to sunny LA with my partner and we are extremely excited to explore the beautiful state of California! My educational background is in English/Spanish and in college, I spent a year and a half studying in Spain as an international student. I know what it is like for you English learners!
This experience sparked an interest in international travel so I spent several years in my 20’s/30's working and traveling in places like Australia, Peru, Myanmar and India. It took some creativity but it can be done! I have now reached a point where I am excited to bring these experiences in the classroom with all of you.
In my free time I enjoy literature, films, and an array of musical genres. I also love spending time outdoors whether it’s surfing on the coast or hiking in the mountains. I am always looking for good recommendations, so send them my way!
