For the summer of 2023, I was hired for Woodland Hills SD's Opportunity Camp. This camp serves a similar purpose to Baldwin Whitehall SD's ESY program. For the months of May through the beginning of August, 2021, I was a summer camp teacher for Extended Day Services. I worked at two locations: Upper Saint Clair SD and Plum Borough SD. My role was to facilitate learning activities and other pre-planned activities/trips (example, PGH Zoo Trip). I worked with grades K-7 and followed rules of both EDS and DHS. I took a small gap in employment to get situated back into college for my junior year. From late August to early December, 2021, I balanced my academics and employment. I would spend my mornings and evenings at three various districts in the area as a before and after school teacher. I worked with grades K-5 during this time. My role was to interact with the students, facilitate learning and physical activities, assist students with homework, and maintain a healthy environment. I took a year off of working for EDS to finish out my schooling. Once I graduated my undergraduate program at Waynesburg University, I went back to EDS to work at Plum Borough SD. My role as a before and after school teacher transitioned to this district. I became full time with EDS and began my additional role at the lead K-Plus teacher at O'Block Elementary School. My role was to create, prepare, and implement lesson plans, monitor student behavior and achievement, interact with the students, and assist during lunch.

We worked with high school students on their IEP goals. We had a mixture of students and needs. We had students vary from academic needs to physical needs. We focused on small group instruction, whole group instruction, field trips, and physical activities.

My role was to facilitate activities and engage with museum visitors.
