What Projects are We Working On?
As we begin the year, we start off with narratives, the basics of learning how to tell a story. At the conclusion of this unit, students will have a published personal narrative that they have taken through the entire writing process.
Dawson W. Deckard
I attained my bachelors degree in Psychology from Maryville University in 2018. I proceeded to the University of Missouri- St. Louis where I acquired my masters degree in Elementary Education. I'm currently working through my specialist degree in Education Administration at Southeast Missouri State University. This is my third year at The Arch Community School as a classroom teacher. My personal favorite subject to teach is ELA (obviously) as I have a love for writing and literature. I spend much of my free time reading and writing, as well as enjoying the outdoors. As an educator, I hope to instill that same love and appreciation of literature into my students.
Some of my favorite books are: the Harry Potter series, the One Second After series, and The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. My overall favorite author is V.E. Schwab.
