Mr. Craig Kemp

Music Teacher

Triton Regional High School

I'm delighted to introduce myself as Triton Regional High School's new Music Teacher.  I bring over a decade of combined experience in music education and community music to Triton. My journey into music education may not be traditional, but it has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep passion for teaching. My path has led me from the Army as an Infantry Team-Leader to becoming a full-time music teacher. I hold a Master of Music in Music Education and Massachusetts teaching licensure.

My teaching experience covers a wide spectrum of music electives, from music theory and production to guitar and piano. I've directed multiple high-quality community and school choral, band, and jazz performance groups. My journey includes over six years of teaching in the music classroom, where I've excelled as both a teacher and an instrumental and choral accompanist. My teaching philosophy is rooted in flexibility, innovation, and critical thinking. I encourage students to think critically and aim for excellence. My approach emphasizes differentiated instruction, project-based learning, and culturally sustaining strategies, recognizing the importance of diverse backgrounds and experiences in shaping student interest and ownership of their learning.

I'm enthusiastic about joining Triton Regional High School, a community known for its respect, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
