P6 Training

The course developer and instructor, Mariane Coulombe, is a Certified Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Implementation Specialist and Certified Oracle Primavera Trainer. Students will receive a certificate of completion for the course. This is not in any way a certification or endorsement by Oracle but can be used as an indicator of proficiency for prospective employers.

Course Introduction

Welcome to the Primavera P6 Professional Training. This course focuses on introducing the concepts and functionality of an enterprise portfolio, program, and project management platform.

Course Purpose and Learning Objectives

Primavera P6 Professional is an application used to manage and control projects, portfolios, and programs. This course is designed to expose the user to the basic functionality of Primavera P6 Professional and to ensure a comfort level with navigating through the application.

More specifically, this course will provide the user with the information and skills necessary to do the following:

✔ Navigate between windows and menus

✔ Use and customize layouts to work efficiently

✔ Create a new project and appoint project settings

✔ Use the Work Breakdown Structure effectively

✔ Add activities to a project

✔ Assign components and attributes to activities

✔ Build logic into a project

✔ Understand Roles vs Resources in a project

✔ Assign Roles and Resources to activities in a project

✔ Analyze and resolve resource conflicts

✔ Optimize schedule dates

✔ Baseline a project

✔ Progress a project

✔ Analyze project data using multiple outputs
