Michael Berquist is ecstatic to begin his Sixth year as Theatre Director at KCAA. Michael received his MA in Curriculum and instruction from the University of Denver and his BA in Theatre Arts and Communication from California Lutheran University. He studied Shakespeare and Politics in the Arts at the University of Oxford. Michael Has performed at Kingsmen Shakespeare Company and the Kennedy Center in Los Angeles, as well as the Colorado Ballet. He has also directed productions for Carmody Middle School and Bear Creek High School. Michael Was one of Colorado'S Theatre Teachers of the Year 2021. When not working with student performers, Michael enjoys hiking with his schnoodle Stella, going to professional theatre productions, and traveling to new and exciting places.
