Biography

Dr. Mohammadreza Amoozgar is an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering in the Department of Mechanical, Materials & Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Nottingham. Before joining Nottingham, Mohammad worked as a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at University of Huddersfield (2019-2021), and a Postdoc research fellow in the Zienkiewicz centre of computational engineering at Swansea University (2017-2019). Mohmmad's research focuses on the simulation and analysis of aeroelastic and dynamical systems, and development of novel solutions to challenging problems in engineering. The research undertaken by Dr. Amoozgar is concept driven and spans a range of disciplines including Aero-structures, loads and aeroelasticity, dynamics and vibration, rotordynamics, morphing technology, aircraft design, mechanics, and composite materials characterization.
