Lohri Celebration

Wearing a bright smile on their faces, students from Pre-school to class 1 celebrated Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal, the festivals of zeal and verve with lots of energy and enthusiasm.

Energy Conservation Day

Save today, Survive tomorrow.'

During the virtual class held on 14.12.2021 (Tuesday), pre-schoolers participated with full excitement in the 'Energy Saviours' advertisement activity organized to make them learn about energy saving. We helped them learn about energy conservation and ways to prevent wastage through powerpoint presentations and enactment. The activity was great experiential learning for the children.

Children's Day Celebration

Children are God's gift to us, and we focused on their enjoyment and fun activities on the occasion of Children's day. MPS amazingly celebrated the day with immense joy. We planned amusing activities for the pre-primary section kids. They came dressed up in wonderful costumes including their favourite "Chacha Nehru."

The day started with joy and continued with the fun-filled activities as planned by our teachers.

Kids enjoyed it a lot, and so do we. We all went "Dil to bacha hai ji" with these sweet little angels.


Pet Animal Making Activity

It was exciting to organize a pet animal making activity by paper for the preschool students, and it helped children be precise with something and make something with concentration. This activity was also very informative for the kids as they got to know about the different animals.

Nacho Corn Salad Making Activity

A 'Nacho-corn salad' making activity was organised for the students of Class I.

Students made healthy salad containing sweetcorn ,Nachos and vegetables. The activity was held under the Aatmanirbhar initiative to enhance students' vocational skills. Students gave unique names to their recipes and enjoyed a lot making mouth-watering salad.


Diwali Celebration

May the lights brighten and rangoli add colourful moments to your life on Diwali.'

Diwali celebration is the awakening and awareness about our inner light, which can outshine all the darkness. On this occasion, Pre-School students made a lantern by re-using a pet bottle and decorated it with jute rope, paint and tassel laces to light up its beauty.



Mask Making Activity

Halloween is a fantastic festival, especially for our little champs. The pre-primary section of our school performed a mask-making activity to enjoy this fun day with joy. It was a very exciting and fun-loving day.

B𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 W𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥 Activity

'To learn to read is to light a fire '

Little learners of Grade I created a consonant 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥.

They learned the circle's division into equal parts, wrote blends and decorated it with a cut-out of their favourite cartoon face. They took part enthusiastically to create their blending wheel and played the blending game by spinning the smaller circle.


C𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 M𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 A𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲

MPS conducted a 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 for the students of Grade I. The activity aimed at experiential learning as the students were able to identify the days, weeks and months of a year. They also learned how to mark holidays and special events on the calendar. The effort of all the creative heads can be seen in their presentation.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

The students of Pre School celebrated the 152nd birth anniversary of the Mahatma Gandhi. On this remarkable day, our little ones presented a short skit on the principles of Gandhiji i.e. Truth, Non- violence and Love.

They also prepared "Swachh Bharat Tools" like broom, mop, and dustpan during a craft activity on the the theme of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

Ganesh Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesha, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganeshotsav, celebrated by Modernites with great pomp and gaiety. The facilitators started the day with the chanting of ‘Vakratund Mayakaya’ shloka and singing the hymns of Lord Ganesha.

To reinforce the learnings of Shree Ganesha, the students made Ganpatiji with CD’s. They unleashed their creative thoughts and ideas by showcasing their Ganesha to their friends. Their enthusiasm was quite visible in their artistic work.


Janmashtami Celebration

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated by the students of class pre primary today. The learners were shown different tableus related to Krishna's life. The presentation depicted varied images of his life from birth to manhood, transporting one to the world of splendour, myth, colour and legend. Everyone enjoyed Matki decoration activity too.

Virtual visit -Zoo

A virtual visit to a zoo was organised for the students of pre school. All the enthusiastic learners showed their soft toy animal to their buddies and learnt about various magnificent animals. Sharing information with their peers was a unique experience for all the learners.

National Doctors Day

National Doctors Day was celebrated by the little ones from the preschool and preprimary sections with great enthusiasm. They were made aware of the critical role that doctors play in our lives and how their non-stop service to the nation during the pandemic qualifies them to be recognised as real-life heroes.

On behalf of the entire nation, the MPS family wishes to express immense gratitude to all doctors.


Learning is Fun

Once again, the young ones at Modern Public School have displayed their creativity by eagerly participating in the pre-primary activity, Vyanjan CH. Activities like this help students develop students' motor skills and make them fast learners.

Yellow Colour Day

Yellow is the colour of optimism, happiness, and sunshine. It was the theme of the activity that we organized for our tiny tots, where they had to use their creativity to create their own yellow corner. The cheeky smiles during the activity made our day.

Storytelling

To ingrain values, entertain and educate kids, a story telling session was conducted by the Pre School facilitators. Children found it really interesting and enjoyed the story of "The Hungry Caterpillar" Thoroughly which was narrated with creative illustrations and voice modulation. Overall it was an overwhelming and enriching session for the kids.

Father's day Celebration

With great enthusiasm & zeal, the students pre school and pre primary celebrated Father's day. The tiny tots were excited and thrilled to participate along with their fathers, which is otherwise a rare occurrence. They teamed up for dance, cooking, ramp walk, craft and one minute game activities. It was a memorable event which the father and children will cherish for their lifetime.

International Yoga Day

Yoga brings in the far-reaching transformation that can enable us to keep up with our regular academic tasks without any flusters. The learners of class pre school and pre primary celebrated International Yoga Day for keeping mind and body fit through asanas. The main aim this activity was to spread awareness and inculcate a passion for fitness and yoga among students.

World Environment Day

A greener environment always ensures a better place for everyone. One must always strive to protect our environment and keep it clean.

The students of class Pre Primary understood the importance of segregation of waste with the help of green bin and blue bin through a 'Managing Trash Activity' on the occasion of the World Environment Day. They also pledged to take the initiative of saving the environment and doing their bit for a cleaner, greener and healthier environment.


Virtual Orientation

MPS warmly welcomed the newest batch of kids and their parents to the family today with a successful virtual orientation. Madam Principal, Mrs. Alka Kapur connected with the parents personally amid the pandemic-induced shutdown of schools, and compassionately apprised them of what good parenting would entail in such a situation.
