We identified our problems with the 50 question Problem Screening Inventory, which we applied to 750 students at the consortium schools, and solutions were sought with peer counseling instead of the classical methods that enabled the problems to be handled more effectively and quickly.
According to our study, the following results were compiled:
1- Spending a lot of time with technology-48%
2- Bullying-44%
3- Business anxiety-43.2%
4- I can't control anger-41%
5- Low self awereness-39%
The average of early school leaving is between 7% in our high school and between 5% and 11% in our consortium schools.
One of the main areas of focus of teenagers behavior is relationships with friends and peers. According to the researchers, the family, which is the child's center of existence, cannot reach the success of the peer group in teaching values and gaining personal trust. It is thought that students with low academic success but high social skills have the potential to solve problems in schools.
20 hours Peer Counseling Course will be given to 12 students determined by Sociometry at all consortium schools. The training of peer counselors will include basic helping skills (effective listening, asking questions, reflecting emotions and content, communication skills, etc.) and the application of these skills.
According to the final test we will apply at the end of the project our goals will be as follows.
While we make our schools more fun and solution-oriented with peer counseling, we take students to the center. We aim to strengthen the bonds of students with their schools and to reduce early school leaving, as students learn to solve their problems with their peers.
Peer counselors in all partner schools will organize competitions, shows, theaters, concerts and tournaments in all fields of music, sports, literature, painting, science and drama with in the scope of social, cultural and sportive activities, together with the relevant branch teacher, to cover all students. It is aimed that our students achieve the social activities they desired.

Project school students will learn by practicing that they are not the only ones experiencing the same problems by acting with partners in solving problems. Our peer counselors will be able to gain experience and skills such as communicating in a foreign language, experience abroad, awareness of Europeanness, human rights, respect for different beliefs and cultures with Erasmus+. Thanks to intercultural mobility, students will have the opportunity to experience memories that they will never forget throughout their lives.
