María Paula Medina-Pulido
I am an applied microeconomist working in public, labor, and health economics, with a focus on developing countries. I study how social protection programs, such as public health insurance and cash transfers, affect household well-being, financial security, and labor market decisions. My current work focuses on the expansion of public health insurance in Peru.
In another line of research, I also study environmental inequality, particularly unequal exposure to air pollution in Latin American cities.
