Installing MPD on Android

Regularly, applications for Androids should be downloaded at the google store. You can download MPD at the google store, however, the newest version for android may be troublesome for accessing music files on Android. So, in this site, the recommended version of MPD for Android is an old one that cannot downloaded from google store at present. Instead, you can download the most suitable version from "apkpure" site. So, please download on your own risk.

Go to MPD for Android in apkpure and download V0.22.11. You can download on Android or on your PC. After download, the file should be copied to Android's Download folder. Then open Music Player Daemon_v0.22.11_apk file using filme managing application.

After installation, tap home shortcut for MPD and open this application (daemon). Now you will see "MPD IS RUNNING" on top of the application window. If it shows "MPD IS NOT RUNNING", you should tap the bar to start this program.

Please copy your music files, such as FLAC, into the Music folder of your Android main storage. You don't have to modify the output setting of MPD. It will automatically find the sound system in your Android.

Next, install MPD client application in your Android. If you already have some, add a profile where accessing IP address should be "localhost". If you don't have any MPD client applications, I suggest to install "M. A. L. P." from google store. Type "MPD" in the search box of google site. M. A. L. P. will be appeared soon. Just click to instal!

Please use good headphones/earphones to hear Hi-Res sound. It will give us absolutely better sounds than any music player applications ever. It's great sound!
