Hi! I’m Amal M.P. — I come from the small village of Parameswaram near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. I grew up in Trivandrum and my journey through school and college took me from JMLPS (primary school) to Elampa School, then to M.G. College, Thiruvananthapuram, and later the University of Kerala (Campus).
Now I’m at ARIES (Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences), doing something that sounds like a childhood question but is actually serious science:
“Are the stars really staying in the same place, or are they quietly moving when nobody is watching?”
I basically try to catch the universe doing tiny sneaky things—with data, observations, and a lot of patience.
I’m also a Physics academic tutor, and I run my own academy where I teach students in a way that makes them say:
“Wait… that’s actually not as scary as I thought!”
I love turning confusing concepts into clear ideas (and occasionally turning panic into confidence before exams).
Right now, I’m enjoying ARIES—learning, building skills, and exploring new directions. And yes, I’m also thinking about the next step: leaving ARIES for a really good opportunity where I can grow, do exciting work, and keep chasing questions that don’t let me sleep peacefully.
Taught 300+ students Physics, focusing on strong fundamentals and exam confidence.
Conducted hands-on Astronomy workshops, guiding students through practical sessions and real demonstrations.
Launched an Android application on the Google Play Store, taking it from idea to a live public release.
