๐ Professional Journey
Dr. Martinโs career in forensic handwriting analysis began in 1987, building on a foundation in document examination, forensic psychology, and criminology. After serving in the U.S. military, she transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding her consulting firm under the name Forensology โ a term she coined in high school.
Her expertise quickly gained international recognition, leading to a global clientele. Later, Script Forensics became a division of Forensology, which she rebranded in partnership with Forensic Document Examiner Dawn McCarty before stepping into semi-retirement.
The title Ink Profiler is not a business name but rather a professional moniker, reflecting Dr. Martinโs unique approach of combining criminology and forensic psychology with handwriting science โ a combination that sets her apart from most handwriting experts.
Although retired from private casework, Dr. Martin continues to provide law enforcement and corrections training and cold case consulting on a select basis.ย
Today, her primary focus is writing, ethics-based training, and case consulting on a limited basis through Ink and Integrity.ย
