Getting Ready for the School Year!
Dear Families,
Welcome to our class! I am excited to begin the school year and to get to know you and your family. Although many things about this year may seem uncertain, one thing that is certain is that I am your child’s teacher and that I look forward to a year filled with warmth, learning, growth, and community.
The first weeks of our year will be devoted to building a community, settling into routines, setting up technology, and getting to know each other. Every year I tell families we will build, paint, run, explore, read, write, play, count, learn, and share. And this year will be no different!
As we prepare for the school year, we’d love to have a virtual visit with you and your child. This will be a brief visit, using zoom, to meet you and your child and a time to talk about your dreams for your child's year ahead, as well as questions or concerns. The primary purpose of the visit is for us to get to know each other as we embark on our year together. Ms Kelly, our wonderful K1 paraprofessional, and I look forward to meeting with you.

Meet your K1 Teachers!
I am beginning my seventh year teaching in the Boston Public Schools and my third year at the Mozart School. I have over fifteen years of experience as an early childhood educator and I am very happy to welcome you to our class. I strive to create a classroom community filled with warmth, joy, excitement for learning, and one where each child and family feels valued. My educational background includes a Masters in Child Development from Tufts University and a Masters in Education and Technology from Harvard University.
