PURPOSE OF MOZART FAMILY COUNCIL

NORMS OF THE MOZART FAMILY COUNCIL

The Mozart School Family Council meets on  every month, directly after the School Site Council meeting that takes place on the same day.  The Mozart school provides childcare and pizza to all who attend.

The Parent & Site Council meeting schedule is as follows:  9/20, 10/18, 11/22, 12/20, 1/24, 2/28, 3/21, 4/25, 5/23, 6/13

We encourage all parents, guardians and family members to participate in the Parent Council who would like to engage. Below is information about the Family Council so that you know what the group is responsible for and how you can participate and provide a positive impact.

What is purpose of the Family Council?

We are a collection of all parents, guardians and family members of students at the Mozart who strive to: 

1) build a strong, inclusive, and cohesive community among all families at the Mozart, 

2) explore and take action as a parent body on issues affecting the school community, and 

3) support and raise funds for school endeavors.

Who is in the Family Council?

You are! As a parent, guardian or family member of a student attending the Mozart, you are

already and automatically a member of the Parent Council. ALL families are welcome and

encouraged to attend meetings and events!

How can I get connected to the Family Council?

There are several ways to get and stay connected to the Parent Council and Mozart School:

1. The website is updated with new material periodically so please check in often for the latest information.

2. Mozart School Family Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MozartSchoolParents/ (or type in “Mozart School Parents” in the search bar in FB). This is a page by and for Mozart Families. To become a member, click on the green “Join Group” button.

3. Attend monthly Family Council meetings! (See schedule above.)

4. If you can’t attend meetings and would like to be involved, just talk to one of the Parent Council facilitators (see below) and we’ll help you find a way to get involved.

5.  Attend events and / or volunteer to help with events.  Please feel free to reach out to a Family Council co-chair or the event lead if you would like to volunteer for a specific event / activity.
