Privacy Policy — Movie Blast
Last updated: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Movie Blast (“the app”) handles information. Movie Blast is an educational movie catalog. It does not stream, download, or sell films, and it does not require an account.
1. Information we collect
Movie Blast does not ask you to create an account, and it does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment details.
We do not operate a Movie Blast server that stores your personal profile. Catalog titles, actor notes, and articles shown in the app are included with the app as sample educational content.
2. Information stored on your device
The following stays on your device unless you uninstall the app or clear app data:
Favorites and watchlist entries you save, including title details needed to show those lists.
App preferences, such as theme, language, and notification preference.
This information is used only to run features you choose. It is not uploaded to a Movie Blast account, because the app has no user accounts.
3. Network access and images
Movie Blast may use an internet connection to load poster artwork. If a connection is unavailable, the app shows local generated artwork instead.
When an image is requested, the image host may receive standard technical data such as your IP address, device type, and request time. We do not use those image requests to identify you, and we do not sell that data.
The app also checks network availability so it can fall back to local artwork when you are offline.
4. Advertising
Movie Blast may show advertisements provided by Google advertising services. Ads help keep the app available.
If ads are displayed, Google may collect and process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app data, and approximate location derived from IP address, in accordance with Google’s policies. This may be used to serve, measure, and personalize ads.
You can limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example, Ads or Privacy settings on Android) and by reviewing Google’s advertising controls.
Google’s privacy information is available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. How information is used
Information handled by the app is used to:
Display the catalog, search, and educational articles.
Keep your favorites, watchlist, and settings on this device.
Load poster images when a network connection is available.
Show ads, if advertising is enabled in your installed version.
We do not use on-device lists to build a marketing profile for Movie Blast, and we do not sell your information.
6. Sharing of information
Movie Blast does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Information may be processed by third parties only as needed to operate the app, including:
Image hosting used for poster artwork.
Google advertising services, if ads are shown.
Google Play and Android system services that install, update, or back up the app.
Those providers handle data under their own privacy policies.
7. Data retention and deletion
Favorites, watchlist items, and settings remain on your device until you remove them or remove the app.
You can remove saved titles from Favorites and Watchlist in the app. You can erase remaining local data by clearing Movie Blast storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
If Android backup is enabled on your device, your saved lists and settings may be included in a device backup and restored when you reinstall.
8. Children’s privacy
Movie Blast is an educational reference app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by the app, contact us using the support details on the Movie Blast Google Play listing so we can review the request.
9. Security
Saved lists and settings are stored locally on your device. No method of storage is completely secure. You can reduce risk by using a device lock screen and by not sharing your device with people who should not see your saved titles.
10. Your choices
You can:
Use the app without creating an account.
Add or remove favorites and watchlist items at any time.
Turn off network access for the app in Android settings; posters will use local artwork.
Limit ad tracking in your device advertising settings.
Uninstall the app to remove local Movie Blast data stored by the app.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or third-party services change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Movie Blast after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how Movie Blast handles information, use the support contact shown on the Movie Blast page in Google Play.
