Privacy Policy — Movie Ratings Popup

Movie Ratings Popup is a browser extension that lets you right-click a movie title on any webpage to see its IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic ratings.

What data we read

When you select or right-click a movie title, the extension reads that specific piece of on-page text to identify the title. It does not read, monitor, or store any other content on the page you're viewing.

What data we send

The movie title you selected is sent to the OMDb API (omdbapi.com) to retrieve ratings. No other information — no browsing history, personal details, or page content — is sent anywhere.

What data we store

If you choose to enter your own OMDb API key in the extension's Options page, that key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. It is never transmitted to us or any third party other than OMDb, as part of your own ratings requests.

What we don't do

• We don't collect personally identifiable information

• We don't track your browsing history

• We don't sell or share data with third parties

• We don't use any data for advertising or analytics

Third-party services

Movie ratings are provided by OMDb API. Requests to OMDb are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
