Scholarship Opportunities at Marshall University

Each year Marshall University awards millions of dollars in scholarships, grants and other types of financial aid.

The Rising Herd Scholarship Fund

The Marshall University Alumni and Big Green Chapter of the MOV supports full-time incoming freshmen who attended high school in the Mid-Ohio Valley area, consisting of Wood, Pleasants, Tyler, Ritchie, Doddridge or Wirt Counties in West Virginia or Washington County in Ohio.

The Marshall University Alumni and Big Green Chapter of the MOV shall select the recipients based on the recommendation of its Scholarship Committee.

To apply for this scholarship:

1. Visit www.marshall.edu/sfa/scholarships,

2. Follow the green link to "Apply for Private Foundation Scholarships"

3. Click on "Marshall University Scholarship Log-in" and use your Marshall University username and password. If you have not setup your username and password, please refer to your admittance package for instructions.

4. Complete the 2025-2026 MOV Scholarship Application under "Scholarships".
