Sabrina joined Mountainside as our varsity head coach in the Fall of 2023. Her volleyball experience and knowledge run deep! Sabrina played volleyball at Benson High School. She played volleyball at Clackamas CC from 2008-2010. After college, Sabrina began coaching back at her alma mater in 2011. She coached at Benson for 6 seasons, while coaching with Athena Volleyball Academy. Outside of the gym, you can find Sabrina serving our community as a police officer for the Beaverton Police Department. Her two children Orlando and Lola frequent the gym and love helping with equipment and scorekeeping! Sabrina is excited for another great season!

Erika is from Portland, Oregon, attended Jesuit High School and attended college at Gonzaga University. Erika started coaching 12 years ago in Spokane, Washington. After moving back to Portland, she joined the Mountainside staff in fall of 2019. She began coaching at Athena Volleyball Academy that same fall. When she's not in a gym, you can find Erika spending time with her husband, her new baby boy (who is often also in our gym!), and her dog, Blitz! Erika coached JV2 Silver in 2019, JV2 Black in 2020 & 2021, and JV in 2023 & 2024. She cannot wait to be back for another season as the JV coach!

Emma is originally from Minnesota and recently moved to Oregon with her family in March of 2020. She has been playing volleyball since she was 10 years old in school, and on club teams. In college, she played one season for a D3 school in Iowa and realized small towns weren't for her. She graduated from Mankato State University, Minnesota, and played club while she was there. After having her daughter in 2019, she started coaching in Minnesota until she moved to Oregon and joined the Mountainside staff in the fall of 2021. During the day she is a 5th grade classroom aide, and at night she loves spending time with her husband and daughter and in the gym, coaching and playing volleyball! This season Emma is so excited to be back with the JV2 Black team at Mountainside!

Danielle Brenner is a passionate volleyball coach with deep roots in Oregon’s volleyball community. A two-sport athlete at Westview High School and the College of the Siskiyous, she carried her competitive experience into coaching under the mentorship of Lea Petock and Nikki Jones. She has since coached at Lincoln, Lake Oswego, and now Mountainside High School, where she is entering her third year. Danielle has also held head and assistant roles with OJVA and Athena VBC, highlighted by a memorable 3rd-place finish at CEVA Regionals with the OJVA 16-2s. Today, she remains committed to helping high school athletes grow on and off the court while fostering a positive, team-first culture.

Ashley Hoffman brings a wealth of playing experience and a passion for athlete developmen to the court. A proud graduate of Westview High School, Ashley went on to play collegiate volleyball at Seminole State College, a competitive junior college program in Oklahoma. She continued her athletic and academic journey at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where she competed at the NCAA Division II level and earned her degree. Ashley combines her athletic background with a dynamic professional life. When she's not coaching, she works at Nike World Headquarters and is a certified Lagree Pilates instructor, focusing on strength, control, and confidence. Off the court, Ashley stays on her toes thanks to her fierce and fun-loving daughter, Frankie, who keeps her just as active as any volleyball season.

Lena joined the Mountainside program in the 2024-25 season as a Varsity Assistant Coach. Lena has worked with players on the court, grass and sand at YVBA and NWAS Volleyball Club. She is passionate about player development and growth, both on and off the court. Her coaching philosophy centers on building confidence, skill, and character, while creating an environment where athletes feel challenged and supported.
Outside of coaching, Lena works at Nike World Headquarters, where her love of sport continues to shine! Wheter at Nike or in the gym, she is dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential.
