Scouting is for boys ages 10–17, and no matter your background or experience level, there’s a place for you in Troop 177. Scouts learn outdoor skills, leadership, and teamwork while having fun with friends — and parents and families are encouraged to get involved, too!
Troop 177 is a year-round program. During the school year, we meet regularly and aim for at least one camping trip or outdoor adventure each month. In the summer, weekly meetings pause, but Scouts look forward to the highlight of the year: Scout summer camp — a week filled with skill-building, outdoor challenges, and lasting friendships.
Registrations are welcomed throughout the year. We encourage new Scouts to register before September 1 to be included in all Troop activities. After you complete this application form one of our Scout leaders will reach out to you with further details.
Scouting is not just for the youth — it’s a family experience! Troop 177 thrives because parents and guardians lend their time, skills, and energy. Whether it’s helping with campouts, coordinating events, serving as merit badge counselors, or simply cheering from the sidelines, every bit of support makes a difference.
Getting involved is a great way to share experiences with your Scout, build memories together, and strengthen our troop community. No matter your schedule or skills, there’s a way to help!
