For the second semester of the class, each student will be given a school credit card. Utilizing the school's mobile app SmartSpace, the card is linked to the "School Currency" section of the app, which tracks the spending of each MoniBux card and credits earned. Credits can be earned by recieving satisfactory, exemplary and advanced test scores, participating in class and school assemblies, using SmartSpace EdGames to study as well as being an overall model and representative of the school. Students can also earn credits by attending school events and the school tutoring center.
Monibux card can be used at the school store. The school store holds school supplies, snacks, drinks and Mountain Ridge's very own Java Bar. School credit cards can also be used to purchase premium school lunches from the restaurant of their choice(within the area/15 credit limit), tickets to sports events, concerts, the school pageant, conventions, and field trips.
Students will work to earn credits to pay off their card by the end of the semester. Students will have an option to keep their card for the following years, or disenroll from the MoniBux program at the end of the year.
