Kia ora, I’m Grace...
I am a counsellor based in the King Country region. I walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges, reconnect with themselves, and find clarity and strength along the way.
My approach is grounded in compassion, safety, and collaboration. I view counselling as a shared journey, moving at your pace, with space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what you are experiencing. I work from a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework, offering a calm, supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected.
I work with individuals across the lifespan, including children and young people through to adults, supporting a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and life transitions. While I enjoy working across all areas, I have a particular passion for supporting children, young people, and neurodivergent individuals, offering developmentally appropriate and strengths-based support. I aim to provide a respectful therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen their sense of self, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
My work is guided by The Mountain Pathway — a metaphor for the counselling process that reflects the ups and downs of life. At times, the path may feel steep or uncertain; at other moments, it is about slowing down and finding steady ground. My role is not to lead or fix, but to walk alongside you, offering support, insight, and tools as you navigate your own journey.
