The Green National Committee (GNC), often referred to internally as the National Committee, is the decision making body of the Green Party of the United States. The delegates of the committee represent accredited state parties and national caucuses.
The Mountain Party of West Virginia is an accredited state party that is recognized by the Green Party of the United States. In addition, our party has ballot access and is thus also recognized by the State of West Virginia.
Greens / Mountaineers in West Virginia are currently represented on the GNC by 2 National Delegates and 2 Alternate Delegates.

Presidential Nominating Convention
During every presidential election, the Green Party of the United States will conduct a series of caucuses, conventions, and primaries to determine the Green Presidential Nominee.
In 2020, West Virginia was allocated five delegates for the Presidential Nominating Convention (PNC). Utilizing proportional representation, Howie Hawkins had overwhelming support in the Mountain Party Presidential Primary and received all five delegates.
In 2016, West Virginia was allocated four delegates for the PNC. With unanimous support for Dr. Jill Stein, all four delegates would support her at the PNC in Houston.
